The start of the challenge is at BTC City Ljubljana, on Ameriška Avenija, under the starting arch. The route continues to Šmartinska cesta, where we turn right at the traffic lights and proceed until the Ljubljana bypass. Before the traffic lights, we turn right onto Pot spominov in tovarištva, which takes us to the foot of Golovec. After ascending Golovec, we follow the navigation to the village of Orle and continue towards the summit of Molnik. Before the summit, we keep right towards the village of Pleše, from where we continue to the village of Repče.

A descent follows, then an ascent to Brezje and Lipoglav. We continue through the village of Pance, following the forest path to Ravno Brdo, then towards Mali Vrh near Prežganje. The route continues towards Leskovec, and about one kilometer before the village, we turn left towards Obolno. We continue towards the village of Javorje, Leskovica near Šmartno, Vrata, Višnji grm, and Razbore. At Velika Kostrevnica, we turn left towards Bogenšperk Castle.

Next, there is a descent on a forest path to Šmartno pri Litiji, where we continue towards Vrzdenc. At the fire station, we turn right towards Širmanski Hill, then proceed towards Štanga, Tuj Grm, and Janče. A descent follows to the village of Gabrje, where we turn right towards Vnajnarje. After some short ascents and descents, the route merges onto Borovničeva pot, leading us to Domačija pri Lazarju.

We continue towards Zalog, Mrzla Dolina, Kašelj, Zajčja Dobrava, and Novo Polje. Then we return to the PST (Pot spominov in tovarištva), which leads us back to BTC City, passing the Radisson Blu hotel and Citypark, and back to Ameriška Avenue. This is where the Ljubljana Dragon MTB Challenge powered by GH holding begins and ends.
