When you visit Ljubljana, you will soon discover that cycling is an integral part of the city’s identity. Cyclists are constantly rushing about their daily errands. Meanwhile, in the area around the city, you will mainly see recreational cyclists \u2013 locals who get on their bikes for short afternoon rides during the week and longer trips at the weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ljubljana has an excellent network of bikeways. There are themed trails for recreational cycling. There are cycling tours<\/a> of the city\u2019s main sights. The rural areas and woodland around Ljubljana are criss-crossed by numerous low-traffic asphalt and gravel roads and tracks that are perfect for cycling.
