CYCLE2CONNECT
Connecting for Sustainable Mobility
CYCLE2CONNECT is Erasmus+ Sport project that brings together students from 12 European countries in a joint cycling challenge to promote sustainable mobility and a healthy lifestyle.
COLLECT KILOMETERS
Students collect kilometers through the CYCLE2CONNECT mobile app, which tracks their daily cycling. The top participants will qualify for the European Student Cycling Challenge 2027 in Ljubljana.
FINAL CHALLENGE
June 10, 2027, in the center of Ljubljana
as part of the Maraton Franja BTC City, the largest recreational cycling event in Slovenia.
PROJECT CONNECTS
The project connects universities, sports organizations, and cities, and through a team-based challenge, digital tools, and educational activities, encourages long-term sustainable mobility habits among young people.
CYCLE2CONNECT is the first European student cycling challenge that brings together sport, sustainability, and digital tools. Students form teams, track their cycled kilometers via a mobile application, and participate in workshops on sustainable mobility and an active lifestyle.
Special emphasis is placed on the inclusion of vulnerable groups and ensuring equal opportunities for participation for all.
The European Student Cycling Challenge project was designed by the Cycling Team ROG with the support of the City of Ljubljana and the European University Sports Association.
The project starts on March 1, 2026, and ends on August 30, 2027.
The project is part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ Sport programme and is co-funded as a large-scale non-profit sporting event.
