
Rudi Valenčič, the “eagle from Pivka,” began with competitive cycling in 1960 as a member of the Cycling Club Rog. Today, the bicycle he used in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico was set on display at the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia. Rudi is a great legend for Slovenian cycling with 163 victories in one-day races, both at home and abroad.
