WARNINGS on the route of the Grand Marathon Franja BTC CITY:
There are 4 segments of road works where the road narrows to only one lane. First one starts before Idrija (58 km) and Spodnja Idrija (65,5 km). On the Sovodenj Trebija section, 93 km before the village Fužina, there is a 500 m long construction site. Extreme caution is required. There will be only 1 very narrow macadam lane. Follow the instructions of the wardens and the signs that will warn you of the work sites and the narrowing of the road.
At 128.5 km in the settlement of Jeprca, a 600 m long road has been dug in several places.
At 142 km in the settlement of Povodje, there will be a 1.1 km long macadam section.
At 147 km there is a fast descent that ends with a right turn to the bridge.WARNINGS on the route of the TRIGLAV LITTLE MARATHON FRANJA
On the section between 36.4 km and 38 km there is a macadam section in the length of 500 m.
At 83th km in the settlement of Povodje, there will be a 1.1 km long macadam section.
At the 88th km there is a demanding descent, which ends with a right turn to the Črnuški bridge.

Dear amateur cycling enthusiasts, sponsors and partners of the Marathon Franja BTC City 2020.
The Covid-19 pandemic, with its effects and domino effect, has swept the entire world and suspended the normal daily life and organization of mass sport events, including the legendary Franja International Cycling Marathon, which has been part of the prestigious UCI Grand Fondo World Tour Series for many years.
We are deeply aware of all the consequences of the economic and socio-social crisis which will follow after the end of the pandemic. Massive sporting events and their resuscitation will also be challenging. In addition, many sponsors will have to demonstrate high social and economic responsibility.
Therefore, the Organizing Committee of the Marathon Franja BTC City 2020 decided to cancel the event in the given circumstances, within the scheduled date from 12 to 14 June 2020.After consulting and talking to the UCI International Cycling Federation, we were given two alternate terms: the first weekend in September or the first weekend in October.The final decision on this year’s implementation of the 39th Marathon Franja BTC City will be made by the Organizing Committee at the end of June.
